I was watching a science documentary about rain.( yawn-ok time to go to another post)
It was trying to figure out whether you get wetter if you walk than run when there"s a down pour.
which led me to think :

If i drive at 56mph  then i save fuel (supposedly)
If i drive at 70mph i get there faster( supposedly )
So , is it better to save fuel, take your time and do more miles to the tank or do i drive at the speed limit and get more jobs done and get home earlier?

by the way it was proven that you catch less rain when you run!

I always tend to drive faster to the job and slower on the way back once within I'm in 30-40 minutes of base I once worked out that my bikes fuel consumption difference between 65-80mph was negalble so it made very little difference, above or below that range and it was noticeable for the different reasons.

56mph may be more economical, but i'd fall asleep at the wheel and stack it, so sorry to say its 70+ and eyes peeled for me

Scientifically speaking ... you can only go as fast as the dork in front of you.

How about a scientific shunt?

A scientific shunt is what happens when your forward velocity exceeds that of the dork in front of you. Then you become the dork.

oooo yers...didn't think of that....what about the one in front of the shunted one tho....does he not become the next victim...sorry the next dork?

Not too sure about that Rob. All I can tell you is that in my philosophy everyone on the road is a dork ... except me.

It all depends on the time of day and the likelihood of there being a job for you when you get back. If I know it's busy I'll cane it back

 to get another job in.
