Some things go ahead despite evidence to the contrary, despite public outrage. Some are above the law, some use the law to their own end.
I think they rely on our apathy, so as usual nothing will happen and they'll get away with it AGAIN

There are two sides to every situation, to lable these people in one sweeping statement of "Thugs Liars and frauds" is complete Bullshit.
Still wont solve anything. Lets just wait for 'scientists' results. I still think an animals life is as precious as a human life. We all live and exist on one planet. Do we get culled to cure aids, cancer etc.

My thoughts exactly, a human with power is a prick.

I AGREE
I agree with an animals life etc but when you see first hand the damage etc that these animals cause it can put a very different view on things.
Why is it considered right to allow badgers to suffer & die of BTb, the "Vaccine" that is currently available can only be shown to "do no harm" It has no proven efficacy and has been shown to cost almost £700 for every badger "Vaccinated"
The Fight is NOT against badgers - it is against the Zoonotic disease Btb which is now showing up in domestic cats as well
But they certainly are cuddly

But you can't do that without a culling licence, they are a protected species and even if you have a known infected sett on your property here is nothing you can legally do to protect your own livestock from infection except keep them inside permanently and feed them with grass from another possibly non infected field.
I used to think it was only 'endangered species' that were protected and there's zillions of the horrible things, just like seagulls!(shitehawks)
like any other pilot scheme we will have to wait for the results to see if they are a success or not.
like most media whipped up frenzied there are killed each on the year on the roads than in this cull they are not exactly rare and if the cull does not work then they will recover their numbers without any trouble
The USA, Australia, New Zealand, and Ireland have all overcome bTB by removing the reservoir of infection in their wildlife. It takes 10 - 20 years but it is proven to work. In the meantime we pay "scientists" with their own agendas to perform yet more trials and pilot schemes.
