bit harsh?

I agree. He told me that one of his customers had failed to pay in the multi-thousand bracket. Many small firms would be struggling in those circumstances. I showed some patience and was eventually paid in full ... twice. I've told him I'd be happy to work for him again.

I hope you didn't think that I was trying to reduce the price by meeting up yesterday?
I had an unexpected job to Woking come up and I thought that if you passed me on the 303 on the way home you could have dumped it in my van, you would have still got paid the same!!
as for sameday I think they are genuine people who have got in a bitof a pickle,
time will tell I suppose if they get back on,

oh them...i remember the thread about them....tiz a shame when a customer goes bust on you....we're all on the edge as far as that goes i guess, particularly now with the banks not lending.

Not at all, Dave. I just didn't see any point in deviating from plan A. From what you said, you were already on the M3 when I was still trying to fight my way along Chiswick High Street. It would have taken me ages to catch up and it's not as if I was going far off my normal route home anyway.
