CONTRACT WORK OUT OF ABINGDON

I can't list this a a booking and i am sure admin will set me straight if i have put this in the incorrect section.

I have a client that wishes to move away from their current courier supplier and wish to negotiate using our services instead, We have been working with this client for over a year and they are a national leader in their industry. We are fine covering the midlands area and we are interested in seeing what other courier companies in the Abingdon are may be interested in possibly working with us on this project. They tell me that they have booked 1350 deliveries so far this year to date. The deliveries are UK wide.

We intend to bring our fleet levels up accordingly in the midlands area.

This is just to test the water with other courier companies in the Abingdon area as opposed to sourcing premises and opening a new office.

Does that include hgv journeys too. Ive seen this done before give a massive booking and transport usage figure and the realiry is some what different

No courier work only, They do have a large HGV delivery arm but use a well known courier company but they are not performing as agreed and have a poor customer service department. We have been working with them for over a year now and they want us to Comit more resources over the coming months.

Just a possible i come past there everynight with the artic empty on a tuesday evening and friday morning, if its any good to get stuff to you to then tranship it to the vans up here it might make you a little more money, if there is the time on them

Thanks SMH, I will bear that in mind when i speak with them next. Their warehouse in Abingdon holds their entire stock of a certian product line which when called for is couriered as necessary. I can see if a trunk from Abingdon to Nottingham is something that could work. I will let you know after i have spoken with them again. Thanks

I have 2 returns per week on the job we are doing monday and thursday 20/24 pallets, but tuesday/weds evenings /fri about lunchtime i come back empty space for 24 pallets @ 33 tons
