Insurance for Europe?

Hi all, Ive had my insurance for close to 5 months, obviously for Courier/hire & reward also git and public liability all with the same company. It covers me for the uk. I returned back to courier work with the intention of getting myself on my feet here in the uk and then getting back abroad where i have lots of experience and to be honest thats where i prefer to be. I called my broker to ask for a quote for the difference for European cover and they just called me to say that the insurance company will only offer 45 days cover per annum and will not insure me on an annual basis. Asked why, the girl couldnt tell me. Why dont they want to take more money from me for extra cover?. The trouble is that now i would have to shop around and possibly cancel my insurance which as you will all know can be very costly and troublesome. Anyone got any ideas as im out of them at the moment!

45 days, if you have 2 days Euro work a week is over 20 weeks. If you have more work than that planned just cancel it and take out another.

You will most likely get some money back if you cancel early.

Yes thats a good point. Think i will use the 45 days and see how it goes, if all well and would be abroad more i can then shop around and change.
