Depends on how much work you think you are going to get from the site, keep a note of jobs that come up and calc your profit and see how much your going to add bottom line, personally I would go for the big yellow one.
The problem with any alternative to the one that works, is getting enough people to signup to make it a useful tool for the vendors needing to cover the work, and couriers looking for work that needs covering (chicken and egg). The problem with the industry we are in is its mostly reactive, not proactive. When someone wants something moving, they want it doing now. Have we got time to "test" which exchange site to stick the job on, do we stick the job on em all, or do we put it on an exchange site that gets it covered quickly.
It also depends what kind of work you're looking for, as there are several different types of work that have come under the courier umbrella, but aren't what i call true courier work, i. E urgent sameday.
There's room for all, but for me you'll only find real courier work on 2 or 3 sites
Mr G Courier Service
Also depends whether you happy to do car jobs which i believe are still 90% of the work offered here
Sorry for appearing dull, but what's the big yellow one?
PB Express
Courier exchange... And it's not yellow any more since they've revamped it
I'm Farnham, never heard ofthe yellow one. But got the headsup now ta
Sorry it should read :- I'm with Garnham ta for heads up
That's funny Gary, My sister is a Garnham, and guess where she lives? Farnham near Guildford. Seriously, I have just gone PRO for six months. See how it goes and will report back. I've had a couple of jobs on here, 4 actually, and been in touch with courier companies looking for work to be covered around here. And had to turn a couple of jobs down.

Anyone heard of Shed5 Courier Exchange site and has anyone subscribed to it?
Mr G Courier Service
A lot of the lads on here subscribe to shed5 including myself. Insurances need to be shown before membership is granted.
The site is for Pro-drivers in name as well as membership

I believe that it is not like courier expert, auction style, is that correct? Are there many potential jobs on there? I am getting my van on Saturday and have the Hire and Reward insurance, just need to get Goods in transit. Can anyone recommend a good company to use or are they all the same?
I can't talk of courier experts network but what i can say about ANY exchange site is that it all depends what type of work you're quoting on. If its a "ive got a fridge i've just bought on eBay and i'm in no rush" then price will probably be the only critria the vendor is looking for, by that i mean CHEAP. If on the other hand, its something urgent that needs collecting asap, for delivery asap, for example a Birmingham ready at 1200 that needs to be in London by 1500, then its more to do with how close you are to the collection, whether you have any other deliveries onboard, and yes price too. I would suggest you avoid the former, as it is an auction, and nothing whatsoever to do with anything other than price. The latter is very much more than that. This is where real courier work and real couriers come into their own. Real couriers understand the difference between the two.
I have courier work, so use an exchange site where its members are couriers.
There are other exchange sites, there are delivery drivers, and there are couriers.

You will be safe in Barrow, just don't go in a pub.
As I put on another post, I went PRO and two days later got a job that almost paid for it, you have to decie what you want from this site, but I don't think it's expensive at all.
