job confirmation

would it be possible to setup a job confirmation to be sent out by vendors? somthing simple that would include the vendor's details, courier's details, from and to addresses and the agreed price? vendors details could be auto filled, couriers could be first 3 letters search whith a dropdown for multiple returns  adresses need only be number , street and postcode.

This control room type stuff is likely to happen before the courier directory and courier work page stuff as the control room tech is much older and more clunky and broken (amend) as you pointed out. Currently finishing off a customer portal that will lead nicely into our control room pages and of course the iPhone app needs the last few bits still...

What would be good is for the vendor to use the quick post to get the job on site asap with as little detail as possible. Then, after allocation, the vendor can add further details, the subbie requires, for downloading. I have just got a couple of my subbies to join mtvan for the trial period and I know they will find it useful to be able to view posts and download a collection/delivery note without me having to email them another one. I am sure this would be useful for the smartphone app as well, at least drivers will have all the details on their phones.

I thought this was a feature already.....i put postcose to postcode times and van size only, then when allocatin you have an edit button where (i think) you can then add all the info you want

Hi Rob, just had another play with the allocation page and it seems the problems start if you try to edit the dates and times, which is a pain if you forget to alter the default collection and delivery dates, which a lot of us do! Just a few tweaks and the driver pod sheet should be fine.

another thought, could you setup notifications for jobs coming into my area as well as going out. I realise that most jobs wouldn't be suitable due to timings but for jobs that don't require immediate collection it would be helpful
