10314A not guilty verdict just means there wasn't enough evidence for the court to convict...That isn't the same thing as being innocent

6679Actually I think in the eyes of the law if you are not found guilty you are innocent. Hence the phrase 'innocent till proven guilty'.
FWIW I have no idea about anything to do with John Terry as I don't follow football.
In the long run it will be English Football that suffers

10314Not guilty means the prosecution have not been able to prove guilt beyond reasonable doubt...that is not the same as being innocent. There are plenty of examples of the guilty getting off, as there are the innocent being sent down
There is law and there is justice, and they're not the same thing
If that's the case now he has bee found guilty by the FA, & there no longer being the double jeopardy thingy could he now end up back in court?

2821In English law you are presumed innocent until proved otherwise if a not guilty verdict is returned then it has not be proved.
Regardless of the case it is very wrong to have two trials which essentially has happened, the criminal case should take seniority over any disciplinary proceedings.
Me, looking at the video he looks like he is saying it but I never listened to all the evidence and the media view can seriously alter the facts

1737just because there's insuffient evidence in a court of law and he's found not guilty, it doesn't necessarily follow that he IS guilty because there is insufficient evidence to find him guilty!!
Who gets the £220,000 fine money?? The FA?? Maybe that has something to do with their decision.
PS. I don't like Chelsea nor JT, but he IS a brilliant player who England badly need.
