Let me pose a question...

Regular (10 year) client requests 5 vans at 90 minute intervals beginning at 20:30 and you can only cover 3 of them with your own, or regular subbies because of other prior commitments so you post jobs on Mtvan and get a response from an apparently reputable Courier Co who is able to cover the other 2 jobs at a not inexpensive rate.

Go ahead, the job needs doing.

Later that week the same Courier Co is not available for similar jobs due to regular work... That is how it goes, no probs.

Would you expect to find Courier Co's Jotters & Deskpads littering your client's shipping office just a few weeks later?

Expect... NO Surprised?... NO

If that really happened 021, it is not nice!

That is why it is better to use people you know and can trust, if you do have to sub out any work.

I have had that happen in the past, but the tow rag did not succeed in getting any work, as my client was a good mate!

He did succeed in getting no further work from me though, as well as a couple of my colleagues who I told!

I went in to a 6 year customer and spied a rival wall planner, I said do you use them, he said "Nah we stick the staff holidays on them" So If this is a real scenario I would get your own made up to replace theirs!
