Hello there

We don’t yet know what is planned in the budget so we shall have to wait and see. As you know we cut fuel duty by 2.5p per gallon last year, scrapped Labour's duty escalator and delayed the inflation rises. That's not a bad first step!

If you look at my website you will see I am backing the Fairfuel campaign and supporting their calls for an 11 p per gallon cut.

Yea I've signed the campaign an average £60 Fill up  only £24 of it goes to the oil company's the rest is tax etc Britain has the most expensive fuel duty in the world

Not wanting to sound like I'm being pessimistic, but I don't think any amount of petition signing or campaigning will convince the government to reduce fuel duty by that much, even for those of us that keep the countries transport industry going.

It this was France they wouldn't stand for it

Well hold on to ya wallets coz they trying to rise it another 16p

They need not bother! If that happens, I think it will force yet more guys to rethink what they want to do and maybe push them into leaving the industry.

another email from my MP 'That is simply not correct. We cut fuel duty actually by 4.4p per gallon as well as cancelling Labour’s planned rise and we delayed the inflation rises. There was an  actual cut.
