Richard please e-mail me @ first_class@live.co.uk im looking for a new or pre reg sprinter curtainsider regards
why arnt they as good as transits?
Why aren't transits any good ? thats a very good question.
Like most things ford commercial do, the user come's second . The cab is the same for all size's of van. I'm average joe 510 and 14 st ; and its crampt . And still in 2012, a bulkhead stops the full range of seat adjustment.
I won't start moaning about the fuel consumption, and lack there of.
A good day's work starts with a good enviroment . Transits don't do it for me
A sprinter ride
s serenely empty or loaded. Good mpg empty or loaded. general good radio that holds a signal in Cumbria. I drive a couple at +350k and they feel firm and trustworthy.
as my other 'alf says "its nice to ride something firm"
My transit is better than my old sprinter on fuel But other than that yea sprinter all the way
I find the new sprinters are good and spacious inside. older ones not so good ..
i prefered my 52 plate sprinter back in the day than when I upgraded to the new 07 plate shape, i felt the newer shape was sorer on fuel
i got a sprinter i hate it yes its fast,313,and untill recently good on fuel.but cpmpaired to my transit nowhere as reliable or comftable,my transit at its demise had 500,000 miles on it it was 11 years old and looked far better than my 05 sprinter, it was worked hard and never let me down,in my 18 years of couriering bikes n vans i never had a head gasket go in the millions of miles...till now with sprinter...the only thing that killed my transit.....a tree!!...the only reason i got a sprinter is cuz it was free!!!...well almost!!!!
