New Contacts!

Hi I am looking to expand my contacts and thought here would be a good starting point, I would like to hear from other drivers from all across the UK to help reduce dead miles and build a reliable contact base throughout the UK.

Here is a little about myself

I am based in Warrington with a Citroen Berlingo Van fully insured with the all important Hire and reward insurance, 10,000 G.I.T insurance and 1,000,000 public liability insurance I have 3 years experience travelling throughout the UK and Europe.

My rates are very reasonable and believe in good pay for a good job

I'm sorry but i must be missing the point. Isn't that what these exchange sites are all about, and why we all joined up?

Afternoon Jimmy, a bit of networking never hurt anyone, sometimes jobs come in whilst your driving and you might then pass it on to someone else.

As a very nice man I have not really 'networked' as I don't like disturbing people. But from new financial year I am being more proactive, instead of going empty or posting availability on sites (and getting nothing) I am going to start making contact with you guys phone/text. New year new name and new mindset. Work is generally good (nothing compared to a few of you) so hopefully I may be able to offer a benefit/service to a good few.

@ Phil I will buy the coffee if you give me some work! When you moving ?

@ Speed Couriers your not missing the point my point is no one ever talks to anyone about work its all about the latest gripe they have with other company's or the rates of pay the can charge just mundane chat I am trying to make contacts throughout the UK so I can just pick up my phone and say hello to whoever and see if there is anything going my way this would be more profitable to them and also myself.

@GeeGee Vans well said lets spread the wealth about I speak to loads of lads saying they have had to turn work down because they can not get anyone to cover the job offered to them a little networking would sort this out.

I hear what you're saying but this is what these exchange sites are here for. You post where you're going so everyone can see... Or rather those that are looking can see, and you quote on posted work to cut down your dead mileage.

They've replaced what it is you're trying to recreate. Nice tho it is to get a call, or to drop in for a tea and a chat, most are too busy for all that and just want the next job covered so they can move on to the next one.

And as for turning work down... There is no excuse to turn anything down, we have these sites full of couriers who are able to cover what you can't cover. Thats all i'm saying... What you're after is already here
