With a number of on-line parts companies now set up... What benefit are they to a driver who needs spare parts fast.
Would you purchase parts from one of these e-tailers?

No mate no chance
Got a very good parts place in MK "Motoserv" they even have the oil filter for my imported people carrier on the shelf!
I have bought winter tyres & other bits pieces, with no problems, saved a fortune, you have to be sure exact parts ordered, or could be a pain.
I bought an exhaust manifold for my berlingo, second hand,. Arrived the next day and was a quarter of the price of a new one. (Parts gateway)

I've used them myself and save a fortune on many parts in the past. But you definetly need to know what you want tho
I bought a rear light cluster for an Escort van, £12.00 came with bulbs and even mounting screws, Fords price was £89.00 just for plastic lens.(ArkleAutoparts)
I have also used www. 247spares. Co. Uk very good at finding parts using your reg number and oddball items.
We have an online parts business dealing in Land Rover parts, and I buy all my car and van parts online. Imo you're nuts if you pay dealer prices. Yes, there are cheap rubbish products on the market, but go for a decent brand and you'll still save a fortune. We sell genuine Land Rover parts at much less than the dealer rates, and good quality OEM alternatives from Bearmach. After 9 years in the business we know which OEM parts are worth stocking and which aren't, and you can't go wrong with Bearmach. (If only Land Rover did vans!)
