Has anyone signed up to this ownerdriversuk.com if so has much work been generated from it?

Interesting site, not heard of that one before. I guess its cheap enough but cant say I have seen it pop up at all on a Google search, so no idea how good it is. Not sure if this would just be a tenner down the drain. Would be interesting to hear other views.

Exactly what I was thinking. Never seen it advertised just came across it tonight on the net so just interested to see what others reckon.

With anything like this I would contact someone who is already a member.

It's easy enough to waste a tenner thinking it's not much to risk but it looks a tacky site for me, more for drivers to gawp at than customers to find drivers. I'll contact a couple at random and report back here.

Been looking at members in my area (Kent) and two out of three have good websites (one the best I've seen) and look very professional.

Interesting mention of advertising on talksport as I've got it on almost the whole day and can't remember hearing an ad for them. I'll have to listen more intently!

Jesus, if we don't get an edit facility here soon I won't bother contributing!

I have clicked on a few links to their members' websites and noticed a few of them no longer exist. Admittedly they are members with no photos and have poorly presented profile pages, and of course they could have gone out of business or just given up, but the only good thing I can see about the site is there isn't a lot of competition amongst the regular one man operations. Not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing but a few phone calls will soon answer that!

It's clearly not a high profile site. I can't see how they attract people to view their site and if someone stumbles across it, with that front page they would soon leave again! So it's only use would be networking with other drivers...

Just tried to send a message asking for proof of their advertising claims but every time I click after entering the security code it asks for another. That's enough for me to avoid it.

Don't blame you, seems like a waste of time. Bet it would work fine if you tried to join and gave them a tenner...

Looks like a directory to me, with not too much incentive to keep your details up to date. Perhaps if it were a good source of work though...

Don't know, but I wonder if most of their entries come from them buying the details from another company?
