If you think the amount of rubbish at the side of roads is a disgrace, why not sign this Government E petition, to hopefully bring attention to the Government about how those that care really feel!

I agree, and I have signed the petition, BUT it suggests that the Dept of Transport is responsible - it is NOT.
It is the ignorant t**ts who keep their own vehicles clean by chucking every last scrap of litter out of their vehicle windows.
Perhaps those of us who use dashcams could send clips to the authorities whenever we record an offence where the vehicle reg is identifiable?

Don't want to sound negative, but dont even bother signing anything like this anymore

For the future more education in schools is the answer, I would do to my children what my mum would have done to us which was to stop the car and make us walk back and pick it up

I often through my Mc'donalds waste out of the car window when I have finished with it, I dont want it in the bin at home festering.

No MK
Whenever I see someone drop litter in the street I always pick it up and give it back to them. Hopefully it makes them realise that the environment isn't theirs to spoil.
The other day in London I saw a teenage girl chuck her fag packet away while walking with friends. I picked it up and gave it back to her, saying 'I think you dropped this'. She walked a few paces away and dropped it again. I walked after her with it, and one of her friends took it from me, with a look that said 'Yes, I know it's wrong too. I'll deal with it.'
And a few weeks ago some guys in an Impreza chucked an armload of coke cans out of their window in a Welcome Break car park, bit they drove off before I could reach them so I had to bin the rubbish myself.
How about the Community Service bods clear it all up?

Yes, but nobody should have to. If there's always going to be somebody to clear it up (either paid or made to do so), it gives people an excuse to chuck their litter. That's the excuse kids have in school for leaving a mess: "it's alright, that's what the cleaners are for." I even remember someone saying "We're giving them a job. If we didn't leave our sh*t everywhere, they'd be out of work."
I hear wot you're saying but we can't catch the culprits, and we don't want to leave it lying around, so someone has to clean it up
Or how about to get your benefits (diabled aside) you have to do 10-15 hrs of voluntary work
We'd soon have the cleanest streets in Europe!
I agree that it makes a good community service activity, and yes, it wouldn't be that hard to clear it all up (in the grand scheme of things). But to tackle the cause of the problem requires a ground-upwards change of culture, like there has been against smoking and drink-driving in recent years. Chucking people's litter back it them is a good place to start! As is naming and shaming from dashcam evidence.
Make them eat it.. That'll do it
Yup, nappies and chewing gum, the lot.
Dog Turd... lol

If you are serious about that then you will be on my list of "don't use this one".

If you don't pay £1.00 a mile, you won't have the option of using me?

No problem paying £1.00 per loaded mile for a 1 tonne load, but not if you are going to leave trail of s**t behind you ! !

There is nothing wrong with a bit of rubish here and there it keeps the council in a job
And this weeks award for "Wind up merchant extraordinaire" goes to...
There's a UK Mail Sprinter upside-down in a ditch outside Yarmouth. Let's make 'em eat it.
