Hi everyone, I'm thinking of upgrading my trusty (or not so) sat nav. What do you guys use?
Which sat nav?

Garmin ZUMO most definately, Has all of european and North African maps (not that Im going that Far) Mines a 220 but they are water proof and used for any vehicle, I believe the more expensive models have the facility to connect with your phone so you can touch a screen and make a call without the need to touch the phone. Ideally suited for Motorbikes though, but the Nuvi is a close condender and a damn sight cheaper. I also pay a one off fee of £70 for lifetime updates this is of course is after the 1st free year, they are updated 3 times a year..

I have a TomTom 700 which does for me and has done for the last four years or more, but I think the cost of upgrading the maps is a bit high, but I'm sure those upgrades can be found elsewhere for a lot less than the official site, but so far haven't found out where.
I also have a Garmin Street Pilot and a Garmin Quest, both havent been updated for a long time and are out of date but they work perfectly and of course the quest doesnt have post code touch screen like modern navs.

In my opinion, TomTom live is the best. You can buy new one from hallfords for just 150£ with 1 year free live search and after you pay 45£ a year or something like this.

Thanks guys was edging towards the TomTom Live series.
RGM Courier Services
I've had Tom Tom Live for years and would highly recommend them. Had a Garmin Nuvi but map detail and quality are rubbish compared to Tomtom so sent it back. It's worth the subscription because you can save so much time avoiding traffic hold ups. Amazon is cheaper than Halfords whichever one you go for.

Cheers RGM.
Dependant on which work im doing either copilot truck or nokia drive. Tried navigon on windows phone great app but needs a 2.1ma or above charger to keep up with the battery drain
I have found nav man to be a good brand

If you have an iPhone you can currently get TomTom UK & Ireland for £27.49 (I think it's 30% off so normally more). It has free lifetime map updates (4 per year) and free daily map changes which looks like some user/cloud sourced road updates. It can do traffic and speed cameras but they're via an in app purchase and I'm not sure how much they are.
I haven't used it, but I'd be trying to avoid buying a piece fairly expensive stand alone sat nav kit. I think their days are numbered. Also it works on the iPad which sounds like it could make the best sat nav ever to me.

SAT NAV 2 at the app store is free and not too bad as a back up system

Yep a good NINE months. Not needed so why keep it.
HSP Couriers LTD
If it has genuinely only been used twice and still has NINE months subs on it and comes with the charging cradle / lead etc, then please ping us an email over.

Well unless you have another sat nav or a big library of A2Z's with you, you have just sold one of your tools of the trade, thats why I asked...

I got a Garmin Zumo 660 to replace my Zumo 500. Awesome. Blue tooth offers stereo (if you want to listen to music on the boring bits), return on same route at touch of a button, links to phone and will do voice dialling, huge touch screen, free upgrades until end 2013. Love it!
Phax
Free at weekends at the mo if ya need small stuff shifted.
