Couriers on cal

Has anyone used exchange site, couriers on call, rates per loaded mile high, seems too good to be true?

What rate are they offering, I had a chum who used them 5 or 6 years years ago, he was very happy with them.

Small van at £1.00 plm. Transits at £1.75

That sounds a bit silly, they where paying small van aprox 65 pence a small van about 5 years ago, I will have a look myself.

£120 joining fee, it seems to have changed somewhat, my chum had there tracking, so he picked up most of his work through that, they did pay him on time, nobody will pay you those prices though.

You know what, i just found the pricing page and its true, they pay you £1.00 plm. But does it actually offer you regular work. I think i would have to look into it more before i would commit to it to be honest

I have just been reading some threads about them on another site, a couple of years ago they where up for sale, don't know if they sold or not, but my chum was more than happy with them, he never paid any money or bought any credits, but hed did usethete tracking, he would get a job on average once a week.

The rates mentioned only apply to work coming directly from Couriers On Call. Much of the other work on their site is quite like Shiply in that it's from members of joe public who want stuff shifted on the cheap.

Some of these topics are beginning to get a bit repetitive

May I suggest you do a search on this AND/OR codforum where there is an awful lot of knowledgeable people with existing threads on many topics.

Well said Rob, before I started out in this game I did 6 months research, I knew of almost every sameday courier company and what was the average charge, I also knew of the majority of companies offering false promises, I knew about vehicles, insurances, ferry prices to Europe and in the Uk, toll prices, I had telephone numbers of couriers on the outskirts of big cities with motorbikes just incase I was held up on the way my plan was to phone ahead and let a bike try and make a bit of lost time, a plumber or electrician takes a few years to qualify yet people come on here and ask the simplest of questions, at least do a bit of homework and use some common sense, you will certainly need it when out on the road, not particularly aming it at this thread but like Rob said it's getting a bit repetitive now.

No one minds anyone asking legit questions. I'm the 1st to offer help if needed BUT there does come a time when some questioners answer their own questions...

I just checked their avaiable work and its all nextday or later... There doesnt seem to be any sameday listed...

But there is a lot of COC going on... Does it come with a load of Bull at any point..
