Fast Food

As regular readers of my posts will confirm i have a liking for good quality food. However on my travels i have noticed an undercurrent of "trendy" fish n chip establishments . one of these i recently visited was Cods scallops in beeston Nottingham. The range of fish available included Monkfish/Halibut/Lemon Sole and Sea bass. All served with piping hot Maris Piper Chips. Home made mushy peas are available as is bread with Butter (not marg) I highly recommend this establishment and will definitely be making a return visit especially as i have a loyalty card for a free cup of tea Do you know of any other "quality " chip shops around the country that i could try ?Maybe admin would allow me a regular blog on site for my musings

I had a 80 minute wait in central London and found a little up market cafe type "EAT" which did believe it or not "Pie & Mash" not the slop you got down the Walworth road (Yes I tried it once was nearly sick) but a really nice Steak & mushroom with onion gravy and a mash (without eyes that I remembered getting in Walworth rd) yum!

They do Hotpot Too Betty would turn in her grave!
