Fraud alert

I have just had someone trying to book a job Leicester LE7 - London SE28
first 2 cards declined and 3rd went through.

He then wanted the driver to call just before arrival so he could meet him with the 3 boxes.

Private address to private address

Mobile number only,

It just sounds too dodgy to me.

very...we get those although the delivery is usually in an OL postcode!!!

Oh Yes, I voided the transaction on the card that was accepted.

and be warned...the card may well have gone thru BUT you'll find its chucked back at you....we had one chucked back 4 months later so don't think just gettin authorisation is enough...IT ISN'T

Once bitten, We had a chargeback of £192 a few months back.

I called barclaycard but they couldn't say if the card was suspect or not and that it was up to me to carry out the delivery.

I voided the transaction , Called the guy and said the bank called and cancelled it and he has to call them directly.
He said what am i supposed to do now, I said get your card and go to the cash machine.

I will get back to you came the reply...................................That was around 4o mins ago.
