Does anyone in the Leatherhead area have a vehicle with Highway Maintenance chapter 8 compliant chevrons and yellow flashing lights? I would want to unload a lwb transit, by hand, and transfer goods to your vehicle to deliver to a site on the M25 between jncs 9 & 10 clockwise.

Must be a lack of vans with chevrons and amber beacons.! Just cost £300 to have them put on one of mine. Bloody Balfour Beatty. Should get it back if the delivery schedule comes good.

Ouch.

Still, will you now find it fairly easy to pickup this kind of highway work in future?

I could add the chevrons/amber lights to our special service types maybe?

Both the chevrons and warning beacon have to be chapter 8 compliant or site entry would be refused. The prices stated guarantee this from reputable suppliers. Did not want to risk travelling from Barnsley to Leatherhead only to be refused entry for trying to do it "on the cheap". Job entails a weekly delivery for six months so costs will easily be recouped. I decided on magnetic signs and beacon so no damage to van bodywork.
