(It's still open, if anyone still has some stuff to share).
Here are some points that have come up in the results, where there may be some misunderstanding about how mtvan works:
- ALL members can post work, whether or not you've paid to be on mtvan. (Just go to "Control Screen" menu) http://www.mtvan.com/post-work/
- When using quick booking http://www.mtvan.com/post-work/, the only thing you need to enter is "a from and a to", so it's really quick.
- A "from and a to" can be a full or a part postcode, or a town name. eg CB11AA or CB1 or Cambridge. As long as you get a green tick, mtvan is happy.
- If you have a smartphone, eg an Android or iPhone or an iPad, you can do everything on the website http://www.mtvan.com that you can do on a computer, eg post work, make offers, post empty etc. The whole website works.
- Making offers in the van: there is a link to the job in every email alert, so you can see the job using a smartphone.
- You can change your own alert settings (radius, vehicle types etc) here: http://www.mtvan.com/account/alertsettings/
- Leaving feedback for a courier: Punctuality and Appearance ratings are optional (in case you didn't see the courier yourself). http://www.mtvan.com/leave-feedback
- The feedback comment is now minimum 30 characters only (down from 100). http://www.mtvan.com/leave-feedback
- To get feedback, and to be able to leave feedback, the job needs to be allocated to the courier. http://www.mtvan.com/unallocated/
- Every time we hear anything from vendors they say if people want
to get some work, they need to go here: http://www.mtvan.com/account/companydetails/
and work across the menu options completing and uploading details.
- If as a Vendor you only want to use trusted couriers, you can filter everyone else out on the Courier Directory using the Advanced button. http://www.mtvan.com/courier-directory/
Stuff coming soon:
- We will be finishing off our iPhone app very soon, as we want to make mtvan easier to use while out on the road.
- We'll soon be making it easier to upload documents (insurance and identity) so there will be more people on mtvan who Vendors can trust with their work.
- We'll be fixing bugs and details as usual.

tim it's all good posting the work on here if we could get the damn work covered on here regardless of paying or not, if had to pay would be willing to do so as long as the job's i post get covered or atleast a phone call same goes with other vendors on this site who seem to be having the same problems.

DO THE JOBS POSTED PAY WELL. AS A VIRGIN (WELL ALMOST) IT WOULD BE NICE TO KNOW. JUST HAD A 'COURIER' QUOTE OF £3278 SURELY THIS IS A JOKE INNIT.
wot at that price where were the goods going to.???
Do you mean a courier delivery quote, I think you mean an insurance quote.
If it's a UK courier job i'll knock you £30 off and do it myself
sounds a lot to me...try light haulage instead of courier
Phax
PMSL sorry guys my mistake yes it was for courier insurance. Haulage is a borderline insurance cover innit. Dont the police frown upon it if doing actual courier work. I believe there is a fine line but dont understand the full ins and outs.
phill do you have any private no claims on a car or if able to obtain a letter from a company you may have worked for driving stating you have driven claim free on there policy, as some insurance companies take that in to account to offer you a discount & can be used as no claims.

Thanks guys got it down to £1900. Keep searching though. Cheers Speed light haulage was a big help.
try these, nobody could touch what I paid this year http://www.bridleinsurance.co.uk/
I used van compare and got TPFT for £650 as yes it's for carraiage of goods for hire and reward!!
I paid £1250 full comp for a 120bhp lwb master inc 25k GIT , 5Mil public liability AND breakdown cover
