Have a great time... See you when back!
Assen isnt rough!
Spent many many nights drinking all night in Jaap Geerts bar, never seen or notices any trouble.
Gronningen slightly dodgy, but I guess most towns with a Red Light District tend to have problems.

Couple of years or so ago as a favour to a trucking company I took an artic down to Friedrickshaven to the mountain bike exhibition. Very nice town on the shores of Lake Constance so I thought for the week I would be there I could do the touristy bit and see the sights after unloading the exhibition gear and waiting for the show to finish to reload and drive back. But... On the first evening there I took a short cut up a steep bank to try to get some pics of the airship that flies from the nearby airfield, I felt a sharp pain in my left heel and thought I may have sprained it so thought no more about it but during the week got so bad I could only just hobble to the back of the trailer to take a leak. Other ablutions? Don't ask! The unit was a fully auto Renault Premium and was I glad it was by the time I got back to Newcastle as my left foot was useless. Anyway to cut a long boring story short as I know no-one is interested in my misfortune after being home still hobbling around one evening I heard an all mighty bang in my ears and the pain in my leg was enough to drop me to the ground and if I weren't such a hero to cry like a baby. Next day went to the hospital where they diagnosed a ruptured Achilles tendon so 2 months in plaster and unable to work for another one. Moral to my story is if you are prepared to help someone out for next to nothingt, ie. Worked out for approx £69 per week all told do as they say in Yorkshire 'if thou are goin to do out for nowt, do it for thysen'... Bit like being a subbying courier!
Ps, go thru the green gates in Hamburgs Reeperbahm (Water taxi to the Visserhafen), never any problem their either, none in Amsterdam or Skipperstrasse in Antwerp (so I have been told lol)
As you were, you can wake up now!
