I think it might be that some one decided the X amount of caloroes in a tin of coke was fatening, and I guess thats why they are pushing their diet coke as well
And therein lies the mistake. I don't have the calories for 'normal' Coke to hand but the bottle of Cherry Coke I have states 45 kcal per 100 ml, whereas the nice healthy Cranberry and Raspberry juice i have here states 46 kcal per 100 ml, so you tell me which is worse!?
As for 'diet' drinks you can keep them! Sugar may rot your teeth but that's what toothpaste etc is for, I don't think these artificial sweeteners are all that good for your insides. (I'm not a doctor so if you have any facts about the artificial sweeteners feel free to shoot me, it's just my impression of them)
Just checked the Coca-cola website:-
- Coke = 42 kcal per 100ml
- Cherry Coke = 45 kcal per 100ml
- Vanilla Coke = 42.5 kcal per 100ml
