Lovely day Sunshine
But sadly out come the shorts!
Work wise.................................. Would you turn up at a customer wearing shorts?
For what it's worth, I think there is nothing worse!

Depends on your legs, and it also depends on the customer.
One of our drivers sometimes wears a skirt in summer, she does have rather nice legs though.

Shorts, T shirt, Flip Flops and socks... Everyday winter and summer...
I leave my socks on cos I know the stuff in the back will really hurt if I drop it on my toes... So I choose to wear boots when undloading and a Hi Vis Vest, jacket or coat as required by the weather.
Jandals, (flip flops) with socks, now that's just not S. E. X. I. at all.
UPS "lads" have changed into their summer uniform wearing khaki shorts...

For me... NO! for one it would look silly on the bike at 80+ on the M-way, and the thought of scrubbing the flesh with a nail brush to removed tarmac and dirt puts shivers down my spine, plus skin graft puts me off...
Not only that the women would be jealous, as ive better shaped non hairy legs than them.. Lol
We have a driver that also wears a nice short skirt.
I keep telling derek that it looks weird with his hairy legs though.
So long as the shorts are clean and look OK, not garish colours etc. I wear black cargo style shorts all summer, always have, always will I suppose. There are a couple of H&S myths going around about not wearing shorts although Ive yet to hear a valid reason for not wearing them.
Each to their own but my view is for a MALE it does not convey a good image.
All the H&S stuff is mostly crap, I have a friend who is a H&S Manager for a top hotel and he is constantly telling staff that they are completely wrong with some of the things they come out with. My personal favorite is the guy at the top of those building site cranes 150 feet in the air wearing a safety helmet.

Yes, BUT he could bang his head on the way up, 6ft off the ground!
There is a web page dedicated to H&S Myths, its worth a read!
Personally if the options available are wearing shorts or not wearing shorts, for public decency if nothing else, then shorts it is. The alternative doesn't bear thinking about!
