That wasn't in the plan when i started up

Went to the docs a few weeks ago been feeling really tired, lack of energy and enthusiasm ect,was booked in for a sleep study at home got the results back and i have sleep apnoea.I started treatment straight away which is with a cpap machine which is working cant believe how much better i feel with a good nights sleep.But they have suspended my driving licence untill i'm in compliance which is going to take 4 weeks so they can harvest enough data of the cpap machine to prove the treatment is working,its been 2 weeks now and i feel fantastic but on the down side i have had to use most of my start funds to pay bills ect,fingers crossed i will be back driving/working in the first week of November. Really gutted but on the plus side i will have the energy and drive that i will need to make a go of it

I have had sleep apnea for 8 years I contacted dvla and they said carry on driving they must have tightened up the law a bit the worst thing about sleep apnea is the price of the machines good luck, any questions about sleep apnea give us a call.

The reason they stopped me from driving was because i was having an average of 65 attacks per hr when i thought i was a sleep lol its strange that you don't notice that anything is wrong with you as it slowly gets worse unnoticed and all seems normal apart from the tiredness and no get up and go but what triggered me into thinking there was something wrong was i shared a cabin with some mates when i went to the isle of man they said they couldn't sleep because i kept gasping/choking whilst i was a sleep the machines are supplied on the nhs and thankfully as i drive for a living and have a hgv licencee you get express treatment.

I thought being tired all the time was part of the job and onset of old age, Low testosterone. Bad back etc etc etc.

Well i'm in compliance now with the DVLA been off the road for 4 weeks and the treatment as worked wonders Now time to get some work done
