Posted a job at 15:03, email arrived at 16:42

I'm not the only one, just had 2 telephone calls from subbies who have just received the texts.

As the job was urgent and needed collecting at 16:30 wasn't much point posting it.

Regards
Damian

PS The news feed page still shows a 'Make Offer' button even though the job was deleted.

I was one of those subbies who contacted Damian as soon as I got the text at (16:43) after talking to Damian I checked my e-mail which showed it had arrived at (16:42)

This seems like a long time to get information through especially when a customer needs something urgently.

Yes, sorry about that. I think I am safe in saying that (other than when the mobile networks occasionally add a bit of delay to txt alerts) our alert system is usually pretty quick? (If not, I'm sure you'll tell me).

Today we were unlucky, as the system tripped up when someone put an apostrophe in a postcode, which made it stop alerting until we kicked it off again, at which point your job had alerts sent out.

We've told the system how to handle that situation with no delay in future.
