Hi,

Has anyone here ever had the misfortune of not being paid for a job they received off here. I ask this as we took a job from here nearly 2 weeks ago and the company that gave us the job from this website seems to have gone into hiding now and we are unable to get in contact with them at all.

If this has happened to you did you ever manage to get the money and if so what route did you have to take.

Look forward to your replies.

Gone into hiding?...you mean they're not answering the phone or they're no longer on MTvan?

I don't know anyone that pays 2 weeks tho...30 days is the norm unless they told you different.

It can happen occasionally as  in  the Collumpton Man thread and when The mtvan Factoring Company got caaught up in the Amtrack Liquidation (Cost us between £5k and £6k betweeen them).

But that is business. Hey Ho.  If  you can't stand the heat you had better get out of the kitchen.

Of course we know that the norm is 30 days we do not have a problem with that. The terms of the delivery were set out from the start that payment was due sameday. But now all phones do not work and no emails answered. Normally a sign of somone not wanting to pay in our experience!!

Terms are what are agreed at the start, if you specified immediate and they were OK with that then fine, It is possible that they have shut down for their hols 2 weeks? but they still should have honoured it to do it  unless they forgot before they flew off into the sun

What does the phone do?

Hmmm....sameday payment?....this sounds like a certain Leicester based Company that initially paid upfront but are now not paying....and have been chucked off or suspended from CX and MTvan.....there's been loads of warnings about them.....If it's who I think it is, I think you'll be writing that off to expereience

Wow!! Just read that topic. Certainly got heated in there didnt it. I am going to give this said company 1 more week to return my calls and emails and then i think i have waited long enough. There was a few jobs on here from this company but only within 1 week and as they only joined about a month ago it is a little more concerning as they have no feedback or trusts. All of a sudden they havent been on since and posted any more work which once again doesnt seem right. My personal opinion is these sorts of sites need more protection from the people that abuse them. As we all know most people are 99% geniune but you always get the 1% that completely mess it up for everyone!!

Good luck..if it is the same company there is an email address they're asking CX members to submit their invoices to....pvt me and i'll forward it on to you
