1215Whilest traveling around yesterday and today I have recived 4 alerts that there was a deliverly ready for me to bid on in that area. The only thing is they are old one that should have been taken off site. I recieved them Friday and then got the same jobs alerted to me today.
Please if you have place work on the site take it off once its been given away. That way I don't get alerted to old jobs and my SMS messages alert me to new jobs. Thanks
Should you be getting alerts 3 days after they're posted?
I get them every time I turn app on on my mobile, think it's just app.
I'm surprised... I'd have thought alerts go out as soon as its booked on... Pointless having alerts sent afterwards
You get the alert straight away but if you turn the app on your phone it must be picking the jobs out as still active and sending them through again to cover. The way iam thinking is if a job was posted in london then i drove there the app would pick up on my location and send job through but if iam at home it wont
I have mentioned before about the jobs offer list. It is rubbish. No indication that job has been allocated to a mtvan member.
Another strange thing: Lots of work offers want the job delivered before it is collected i.e. Collect taunton 4/3/2013 at 0900 Deliver Manchester 01/3/2013 ASAP. How strange.

That's mtvans' fault and I've been mentioning it a few times, if you book a job in advance you can select the pickup date/time but if you select delivery as ASAP it puts the current date in.

You're not allowed to post tags (html), so some characters are stripped out.

They do only go out (SMS and email) when the job is booked. He's talking about the app, and he's force quitting and re-opening the app.

The app will only alert you to each job once. If you fully close the app and re-open it it will alert you to everything that is available again. This is by design, you should leave the app running (there's no need to force quit apps on iOS as their status is handled automatically and most are suspended in the background).

We will only ever send one SMS per driver per job. We also only send SMS alerts at the time of job posting. Do you mean alerts in the app?

If a job is allocated to an mtvan member it is not displayed on the courier work page.
1215Yes alerts in the app. Tonight I had another run down to Corby and got the same messages about the same jobs I had recived on Friday and this morning. Now I know some jobs not be take striaght away, but I bid for some on the Friday to find that they are still avaiable on the Monday Morning and then midnight on onday as well!

Just leave the app running. i.e. Close the app (leave it running in the background), but don't force-quit it. Then it will behave as you want, and you'll only ever get alerted to a job once. If you force-quit the app, then you will not be alerted to jobs that get posted on the site! If you don't want to be tracked for whatever reason, don't force quit the app, just turn tracking off in the app.
We can try to update things to make it also work if you're force-quitting the app in a future version, but currently it's behaving as we intended.
