Feedback system on mtvan

For those of you who haven't tried it, there's a feedback system on mtvan.

You can only leave feedback if a job has been posted on the system and allocated to the courier doing the job.

The feedback is only visible (ie on the member's Profile) once both sides have left feedback.

The Vendor (ie usually the courier company) selling the job sees this:

The Courier (ie the person or company doing the job) sees a slightly different page:

Please don't leave feedback until you have been paid!

You'll know if you need to leave feedback, as there will be a red number next to "Leave Feedback" on your Dashboard like this:

Im still waiting for mine that I posted a while ago to appear, but dont think the other party will post, but you did say 90 days and it should appear anyway, which is way to long...

Just thinking about Gas' s comment. Say you want to put a bad feedback for a job not done properly and the other courier doesn't put a feedback, will the original bad feedback be publicised? Or will only good feedback be publicised because both leave feedback?

Personally, I think bad feedback should be instantly shown. I think others might want to see it aswell, depending on the circumstances. Vendors can make there own mind up then if they want to use them or not. I think vendors take all feedback into account before appointing them the job. At the end of the day, the vendor is putting there trust into the courier to do the job well.

It will be published after the window to leave feedback expires.

I was asking a question not passing any opinions Darren.

I agree too, bad feedback should be shown instantly. The point was, as i see it, at the moment bad feedback won't be publicised because the second person has to submit feedback before the first one is publicised. It's hardly likely that the courier being criticised will respond knowing if he says nothing the it won't be shown. Unless as Admin says, it will appear when the feedback time expires, by which time a lot of harm could be done!

Which is 3 months or 90 days and way to long in my opinion, little too late..

So back to feedback, I had a job on the 8th of July, and low and behold I was let down by a courier off this site, who agreed to do the job and then change his mind not to do it, so I did the negative feedback bit, after post a thread on the subject of "how unprofessional", mtvan assured me after 90 days (which is way too long) it would be displayed, I have recently checked the couriers feedback as its now past the 90 day marker and its not appeared, to be exact by my calculation we are 93 days. So mtvan can you explain why its not appeared? Over to you.

Hi Gary, it's 3 months rather than 90 days. It's the 8th today so it should be there tomorrow.

FYI I started the feedback system off with a long time window to give people a chance to get used to the system and to allow feedback for a few extra jobs (the ones posted up to 3 months before we introduced the system). We are intending to shorten the deadline.

Yes. The deadline when the feedback shows is of course also the deadline for both parties to leave feedback. So ideally we wouldn't want it so short that people missed out on leaving any because they had been away from a computer for a few days.

Your true to your word.. 3 months down the line and now the negative feedback has appeared, still way toooooo long though.
