And you watch your next job will probable attract fifty qoutes.
I would've done it if it was in my area. I bid on 5 jobs on here yesterday and not one was allocated to me.
I suppose we can only keep trying :)
Sorted now by a colleague.
Must say I am surprised there were no takers as the price offered it would have covered any dead mileage.
I also made a few calls to some subbies who had called or emailed asking for work. Guess what? 3 did not answer their phones or call back!
On the rare occasion I miss a call, the first thing I do is call straight back,
I shan't be renewing my subscription here when it runs out soon, as it is a waste of time me hoping to cover any work from it.
Glad everyone is busy too though :)

I thought being a vendor you had free subscription.. You only pay for it if your bidding for work..

You are correct, you don't need to pay anything to post work. Also I think the more regular a vendor you are, the more quotes you tend to get per job.
Thanks for that. just that on my dashboard it says it expires end of May

I have had jobs, perhaps you don't meet the required standard, or perhaps you haven't got the right attitude.

Having only recently started to post work on here, the responses have exceeded my expectations. We did have to cover a couple of jobs by picking up the phone due to lack of response, however both of them were covered after 2 or 3 phone calls to mtvan members.

Apart from the fact that I don't have an XLWB, which the listing required, you can't assume that £40 would cover the dead mileage of a 15 mile job. If i did that job it'd be about a 190 mile round trip, at least 3hrs 15mins without stops! I'm not doing that for £40 in a small van let alone a big'un!
If you're job was an envelope so available to anyone I could understand the complaining, but your load was quite specific, if no-one was available here it's a shame but you can't win them all!

Yes, I've had a few jobs from here too, right time right place right van right price. I'd have to agree with AJM, attitude is applicable in some cases (not saying yours is bad but it's a factor for some), well you are representing their business!

Did you put u were willing to pay £40 pounds on the job posting as many would consider it only a £10-15 pound job so would ignore it

Adding the £40 in 'Additional info' is good, but texts don't include that so most people wouldn't have seen it.

As I am busy there is nothing wrong with my attitude and my standard will compete with anyone.

Genuine question... Have you now been booted off the yellow site? & that's why your posting your work here? As you're no longer listed in the directory all of a sudden.
No need to respond, its obvious just from reading elsewhere!

Yes, they decided we were a competitor of the courier exchange, or were planning to be. Which isn't true, but that's what they decided.
This seems to have happened very suddenly!

No one was more surprised than me!
I have never done any work for you on Courier Exchange. Why were you considered to be a competitor?
That is a question only the courier exchange can answer. There is no facility to post trade work with Courier Expert and we pay our Couriers ourselves for Sameday any jobs, so i am struggling to see how they came to that conclusion. Unless someone has hoodwinked them into thinking otherwise, so who knows.
I think it was probably you Andy, when you compared yourself to shed5? Another size 10 in the misog me thinx... Lol Sometimes tiz best to keep one's shut, which i plan to do on anything related to you in case its misconstrued as an attack with a hidden agenda... God forbid eh?
Why Courier Exchange would feel threatened by a comparison to Shed 5 I don't know, they must be feeling very vulnerable, lol.
In any case, my only reason for comparing it, was that Shed 5 is a membership based website, where couriers pay to join. They only had to read my own webpage to see the difference for themselves, or just call and ask me personally, Paul Walton has my mobile number. But hey, I guess no one at Courier Exchange thought of doing that!
Maybe I need to employ a Meerkat to explain difference between 2 websites.
Please don't employ anybody else andy otherwise the rates you offer may suffer, and we wouldn't want that.
(Rob has now slapped himself for his last comment)
We don't have rates for mtvan members, they get the price they quote us.
You compared yourself to the likes of shed5 and said they were your competitor? Shed5 is an online freight exchange, the yellow site although be it on a much larger scale is also a competitor to shed5 as a freight exchange, it's not rocket science to work out why you've been kicked on the yellow exchange really is it? Your posts seem to do you more harm than good and are proving to come back and bite you on the a$$!
At least your paying mt van members what they quote you, supposedly. And not the 60p a mile (50% of £1-19 - will give the extra 0.5p as in a good mood!) you offer your own small van drivers within your network!
No wonder we find them contacting us after a month or two of joining you, looking for regular well paying work.
I've got a job on both mtvan and Courier Exchange at the moment and not had a single offer!
Maybe because it was posted about an hour ago at 7-30pm, and to make matters more difficult, it's in an area where coverage is less and isn't really an attractive load for someone potentially looking for a job to start them off tomorrow. Just my opinion theo,
But nevertheless I hope you manage to cover it, or cover the job yourself

I meant that both Courier Expert and Shed 5 were possibly competing for the same Couriers, I very much doubt Courier Exchange based their entire decision on one fleeting comment alone. If I said I was Batman, would they take that literally too, or would they check out some facts first?

That's our starting rate, our regulars get more.
If I did it for 50% I would soon have the bank manager wanting to know why I could not pay my mortgage.
It costs me 28p per mile loaded or not in overhead, without any wages.
