Yep Yell.com .. When the Sales guy came to me he was trying to persuade me to advertise in there book showing me the new size, apparently according to research more popular plus you can leave it in your glove box.. Told him where to go, as yell.com fits in my Pocket 

absolutley...people use google, yahoo or bing...so why would i wanna pay anyone for anything else

lets face it some of our customers are in the crap and need to get the job sorted fast,
by the time they have found their copy of the big yellow book someone else in the office has found a courier on google and got it organised!!
we paid £600 last year and I reckon that worked out at £300 a call from the people wanting ebay crap transporting for peanuts!
Our copies of  the yellow pages and thompson local (if they are still going?) go into the recycling  after a year still with their wrapper on,
Google is free and easy to use that's what people use.

I agree with Springer and Speedy, I use Google. If yell is one of the results then I'll look at it but I wouldn't go there directly

A quick calculation shows that since august when we went for a yell.com package for our area at £165 ish a month...we've taken just over 2K+ vat less the 6 months to yell.com and the driverpay means that yes, it may increase your turnover a bit, but it don't add any profit wotsoeva....so investing in the hardcopy doorstop is not going to interest me one bit!!

Yell.com all the way, the book is obsolete in my eyes, when they deliver it sadly it goes in the reycle bin, got enough paper work cluttering aroung the house!

don't get me wrong I'm not tight as a duck's bum at tadpole time but FREE is my favorite price!!
there are many this like free directories, free links etc so there is no point in spending money if you don't have to, 

and its worth expanding your details on each and every one of em...cos like it or not these "directories" seem to take up a lot of the 1st page of google so you need to be on em

Yell.com have just been incontact with me regards new sameday classification they are doing. Gordon at yell is offering me number 1 spot for my area for £250 full years subscription including web site, whats your thoughts, do these things generate extra work/leads very quite up here in lanarkshire, need to do something.

I had an e-mail from Yell today inviting me to a bootcamp day for small businesses all free. hosted by Doug Richard former Dragons Den. Sounds like they just want to sell to me, nothing is free. Anybody been on one of these ?
